Curriculum mapping for all KS1 and KS2 units of work

All of our Key stage 1 and Key stage 2 units of work now contain clear curriculum mapping to help teachers see exactly which prior units support their current teaching, and the units that will build upon it in the future. This will help them have a clearer idea of where the unit fits in the bigger picture of your school’s computing curriculum, the prior learning their students should have, and also where the learning in each unit goes next. This could help them support less or more able students and also give useful points of reference to support teaching and learning.

At the top of each unit page you will now see something like this:

 

 

As you can see, we have also created a full curriculum map that shows the progression of the various computing curriculum strands and sub-strands through primary year groups from Year 1 to Year 6. A link to this is also provided on all unit pages and also in the subject leader area of the website.
